FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Welcome Back Joe T!Newest Van Delivery Driver is back for second roundOctober 1st, 2008 -- In March of 2000, Joe Tamburri started a small business called Shippan Partners with his boyhood friend Joe Ricciardi. They got the name Shippan from an area of Stamford, CT where they both grew up in the 1960's and '70's named Shippan Ave. Shippan Partners has been doing business in Fort Collins since that time under the name of First Aid 2000. Taken from out of Work Fitters Tool & Safety and planted as it's only little specialty business in the First Aid delivery world, First Aid 2000 was a little fledgling among giant corporations that dominate the First Aid Van Delivery world. Back then Joe Tamburri fought hard every day to try to establish accounts in Northern Colorado against such better funded and bigger organizations like Zee Medical and Respond Industries (currently Cintas First Aid). Well after about a year and a half, Joe Tamburri decided to leave the First Aid business and go back to work for his old employer, Aggregate Industries where he's been a successful batch plant operator for the past 7 years. Unfortunately times being what they are, Mr. Tamburri was laid off a few weeks ago and is now back plying his old trade: Bandages and pain relievers. Of course now, First Aid 2000, is no longer trying to establish a foothold in Northern Colorado but according to at least one major competitor who stated the following on public record three years ago: "these guys are 40% less expensive and they're going to put us out of business". Well that company, a division of a Fortune 15 company, hasn't gone out of business yet but with such excellent local customers as Colorado State University, Advanced Energy New Belgium Brewing, CBW Automation, Waterpik Technologies and the City of Fort Collins, First Aid 2000 continues to develop a reputation for honesty, quality and exceptional pricing. And now with Joe Tamburri back in the driver's seat of one of our vans, you can rest assured that the level of service will only continue to rise. For More Information Contact: |
